Letters of recommendation
If you’ve taken a class with me, been a research assistant, or been my advisee, I can probably write a letter of recommendation for you if we’ve had more than cursory meetings. To write the most effective letter, I’ll need the following:
- The name of the opportunity
- The due date
- Your latest resume/CV
- The most important things for me to highlight in your letter, either via a draft of the letter or a few bullet points
- Submission instructions
Please allow two weeks for turnaround.
Advising MUP or BAUSP capstone/final projects
If your project is related to transportation planning or to data applications in planning, I’d be happy to talk with you about being your potential adviser. Please make an appointment during my office hours to discuss.
Potential PhD students
I welcome inquiries from potential doctoral students pursuing research on transportation planning topics. Note that I’m generally not a good fit as adviser for projects that focus on urban and transportation design. Be sure to read application procedures on the department website.
